The most confusing part of Uremote is the 'Ports Config'.
The ports is mean for receiver's UART,PPM,CAN bus switch IO, Bluetooth IO. These ports is mainly for Ubox dual, such as Ubox V1, Ubox V2 75V/100V.
When in designing Ubox V1, we placed most flexibility in it. User can assign control IO what ever to meet his requirement.
The PPM and UART option is for throttle out puts. The PPM has higher priority than UART for throttle out put, when a ESC channel was assigned with PPM to it, the UART will not out put throttle to this ESC, UART is only read information from ESC now. UART is only send current mode to ESC, so if you want other mode such as duty cycle, PID speed, you can use PPM port.
The Bluetooth option is for Ubox's internal UART matrix to switching VESC UART to ESCA or ESCB. Ubox V1 has integrated VESC NRF Bluetooth module connected to this matrix. But Ubox V2 has not, instead, V2 provides a NRF socket for users to plug in an external NRF module, this is due to the V2's lack of PCB space and for avoid to confuse our users.
The 'CAN Bus' option is for the electronic switch of Ubox's internal CAN inter-connection. When set it to OFF, the two ESCs is separated as two independent ESCs.
The 'Board parameters' is for rightful get board's information, the remote doesn't read the wheel and battery cells configuration from ESC, just read the ERPM, voltage, and so on. So user have to set them on the remote manually.
The 'BMS' is for our plan of BMS products, BMS is yet to made up, we are so sorry for that, we will try to finish this gap in 2022.
