The Uremote and it's standard receiver and Ubox internal receiver
The Uni1 remote (Uremote), can be coupled with an external receiver or with Ubox dual's internal receiver. Some of our users have bought both Ubox dual and an external receiver, when try to put this external receiver and Ubox to be co-working, their behaver will be confusing, this article is help to clear the confusing.
This article is based on momentary button, the default shipping button. And Ubox V2 dual. For Ubox V1, please see 'Concludes and explain', or contact us.
Steps to make clear Ubox and Uremote link
If the Ubox can't be self hold power on when release the button after click button to power on, below steps need to hold the button to keep power on to do finish them (release button to power off Ubox).
- Unplug the external receiver if you are using it.
- Power off Uremote.
- Power on Ubox only, check if the button LED blinks in 3 seconds after power on, if yes, power off Ubox and skip step 4; If not, do setp4.
- When Ubox's button LED solid green, click button 8 times, then wait 1second, button LED will off 1 second then on again, then power off Ubox, check button as step 3.
- Power on Uremote, go into setting menu->Receiver Config->Binding->Enter, then power on Ubox, the binding will successful, if not ,try again, if still not, please contact us.
- When binding succeed, if the Ubox still can't self hold power on after click the button to power on, on the Uremote, go into Uremote's setting menu->Receiver Config->Power Switch, to set the switch type to be 'Momentary'.
- Check if the power on/off is working now. The normal power on by momentary button is click 1 second to on, and press 3 seconds to off, if not, go to step 2 and try again.
- Check if the RF link is stable, if not, to check if there is another Ubox or external receiver been bond to this Uremote and is power on now.
Leave the external receiver alone if you coupled the Uremote with Ubox. Unless Ubox is radio shielded by its surroundings, this time the external receiver will be helpful to find a best place to make a better link with Uremote. Please refer next chapter:
Steps to make clear Uremote and external receiver link to control the Ubox
- Power off Uremote.
- Power on Ubox only, when Ubox's button LED solid green, click button 9 times, then wait 1 second, button LED will off 1 second then on again, then power off Ubox, check button is no more blinking after power on.
- Power off Ubox, plug in external receiver with a cable in to Ubox, do binding with the Uremote as similar as above chapter.
Concludes and explains
- Ubox single 75V don't integrated a receiver, so the external receiver is the only option, avoided this issue.
- Both the external receiver and Ubox's internal receiver are searching binding signal in 0.4 second time window after power on, so don't let them be power on simultaneously unless the Ubox V2 is being disabled its own receiver function.
- For Ubox V1 dual, the click 8/9 times to enable/disable the internal receiver function is not available, so avoid to let Ubox V1 and external receiver be power on simultaneously ever.
